Volvo’s 56 words for snow

I was the creative and art director on this project at Sapient Nitro. This was my concept, I also created many of the images myself.

The original brief was for press, radio and banners, to illustrate the Volvo XC’s incredible handling in snow. 

We took our idea ‘the 56 words for Snö’ and also turned it into a book for dealerships, creating each Swedish word for Snö typographically. We had very little budget so I created many of the images and typography myself, but we still managed to pick up a few awards. 

As the book was opened the cover’s die cut revealed the page behind, so it looked like it was snowing, while a QR code on a ski pass bookmark took readers to the online brochure.
